More Snow

The cold weather has left us and we are now getting more snow.  The storm came in slowly over the last two days, then really blew in last night.  We have somewhere between 8 to 15cm of new snow this morning.  Its hard to tell with the wind.

Last Friday we had a clear, cold day and skied up Mount Typee.  It was cold on the glacier, outr skins kept falling off until we got in the sun.  The summit was beautiful, clear and relatively warm.  The ski off the top was industrial with some fine mountain top wind slab.  Once we got off the summit pyramid the snow was good and we had a good run down into Steepness.  After a trot up the Trot, we did a quick lap on Kitchen Envy in the early evening sun - nice!

On Saturay we skied Pressure Drop Corner which is in perfect shape.  Nice little drops, pillows, great faceted snow.  It always puts you in a good mood.  We cut a new trail up to the BFT - BFR and joined the Trot up there.  Once we got home, some of the crew did a run on the Outhouse Run.

The exchange went well, everyone made it in and out along with 3 kegs of beer coming in.  Nice work.

Yesterday it warmed up to -17 and we went to Schooner South Bowl and Pillow Talk.  On the way home Tom took most of the crew down Kitchen Envy, then we went home to work on those kegs.

Today, its -10, 8 to 15cm of new snow and we're heading for Blue Danube, Woodlot zone.
